How to add an M3U playlist on Fire TV

An M3U playlist is a link, usually ending in .m3u or .m3u8, that your TV provider gives you. It contains the list of channels and, often, movies and series. Here is how to add it to DajeTV.

Add the playlist

  1. On the DajeTV home screen open Playlists.
  2. Choose Add playlist.
  3. At the top choose M3U link.
  4. Type the link in M3U playlist link. The name is optional: for example “Home”.
  5. If your provider gave you a separate TV guide link (XMLTV), type it in TV guide / EPG. It is optional: many M3U playlists already include it.
  6. Choose Verify and save. DajeTV downloads the list and shows how many channels, movies and series it found.

Tip: Long links are tiring to type with the remote. Install the free Amazon Fire TV app on your phone: it works as a remote with a keyboard, so you can paste the link.

Where your data is stored

The link stays only on your device, in the system's secure storage. Our servers never connect to your provider and never see your channels.

If the playlist does not load

  1. “Invalid link”: check that it starts with http:// or https:// and that there are no spaces.
  2. “Server unreachable”: the provider's server does not answer. Check the internet connection, or try again later.
  3. “The playlist server responded 401, 403 or 404”: the link is wrong or no longer valid. Ask your provider for a new one.
  4. Nothing loads and the VPN is off: if Block everything without VPN is on, DajeTV loads playlists only with the VPN connected. Connect the VPN or turn the option off.

Update and manage playlists

DajeTV refreshes the playlist by itself in the background. To update it right away, open Playlists, highlight it, press ⋮ and choose Refresh. From the same menu you can edit or delete it.

You can add more playlists and switch between them from Playlists. If your provider also gives you a username and password, an Xtream Codes account usually works better than the M3U link.
